Trevor Bonifas is general manager for motive power with Crown Equipment. In conversation with iVT editor Tom Stone, Bonifas talks about the lift-truck manufacturer’s new V-Force power system which means battery, charger and vehicle are fully integrated and delivered by Crown, enhancing reliability and ease-of-use for operators. He also discusses the challenges of charging and competing demand on the grid, forging partnerships with stakeholders to create product integration for improved operator safety, how a reduction in battery sizes may affect industrial design in the future, and whether lithium is here to stay.
