VIDEO: JCB hydrogen backhoe gets full launch alongside zero-emission refuelling technologies

At a special event at JCB Global HQ in Staffordshire, UK, the OEM announced that its prototype hydrogen-combustion backhoe loader is now entering full production. Alongside a full showcase of the vehicle, experts spoke about JCB’s battery energy storage system, hydrogen-powered generator and new, portable hydrogen refuelling system, launched with its partner HyKit. Overall JCB emphasised the ease-of-use of hydrogen systems, a like-for-like swap for diesel with identical performance metrics… or as Daniel Garner puts it, “Excitingly normal.”
