New mini sensor makes hydraulics smarter

0

Giuliani Cylinders and Optoi Microelectronics have developed a new single-position optical mini sensor for position detection, for integration with Giuliani’s hydraulic cylinders.

This new mini sensor has been developed to respond to customers’ need of integrating sensors into machines which were not originally compatible. The sensor has 60% less volume than the standard version, it is therefore less invasive and can be integrated into cylinders without carrying out further modifications to the machine.

The sensor is as durable and accurate as the standard version. Thanks to a barcode marked on the chromium rod, it provides cost-effective and reliable position detection.

It is the latest achievement in a long-lasting partnership between Giuliani, a manufacturer of cylinders for industrial and agricultural machinery based in Italy, and Optoi Microelectronics.

The new mini sensor will be displayed at the upcoming Eima International 2016, held in Bologna, Italy, on November 9-13, booth A16, hall 20.
