Systems & Components, the B2B marketplace for the supplier industry that has run at Agritechnica for close to 15 years, is extending to forestry technology for the first time at Interforst in Munich from 15 to 18 October.
Staged under the name Systems & Components Forestry by DLG, the new exhibition area in Hall B6 is a joint initiative of Messe München and the German Agricultural Society (DLG). It brings together manufacturers and suppliers with OEM developers, engineers, designers, system integrators and procurement managers, with a focus on components and system solutions that support the interaction of modern forestry machinery.
Suppliers to the mobile machinery sector exhibiting in the area include AGCO Power, HYDAC International, Kubota Engines and Sauer Bibus, which will present their products and services for direct exchange with OEMs. Further exhibitors from the forestry technology sector will show their solutions in the outdoor exhibition area of Interforst.
Among the suppliers targeting OEM engineers at the show is Contac Solutions, a specialist in custom cable assemblies and wiring harnesses. “Interforst brings together leading manufacturers and suppliers from across the forestry industry, making it an excellent platform for exchanging ideas and discussing future technologies,” says Kösling. “We look forward to meeting new customers, strengthening existing partnerships and exploring how our customized interconnect solutions can contribute to the next generation of forestry equipment.”
On 17 October, the area will be expanded with a series of expert presentations organised with the Kuratorium für Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik (KWF), covering digital applications and robotics. The programme includes “From Sensor to System: Tailor-Made Microelectronic Solutions for Digital Forestry Applications” from Fraunhofer IIS, “AI in Forestry: A Revolution” from the KWF, and “Autonomous Robotics in Forestry” from the Autonomous Mobile Robotics Lab at HAWK Göttingen. The presentations take place in the Interforst congress and forum area.
DLG will also host an informal networking event at Stand B6 | 235 from 3:00pm on 15 October, giving manufacturers, suppliers and other industry professionals the opportunity to make contacts and discuss developments in the sector.
