Finlay has introduced Elektro, a range of tracked hybrid crushing and screening equipment, at Bauma ConExpo India 2026. The range is developed and manufactured by Terex India at its Hosur facility and is available initially for the Indian market, with introductions to follow in selected international markets where Tier 3 emission standards apply.
The range combines Finlay crushing technology with diesel-electric operation. Finlay says the hybrid products are designed to help customers reduce fuel consumption, lower operating costs and support more sustainable operations.
Elektro debuts with two models, the J-1170 Elektro jaw crusher and the C-1540 Elektro cone crusher, with further products planned as the portfolio expands. Both can operate using mains electricity where a grid connection is available, or via an onboard diesel-powered generator when working in remote locations. Finlay says this allows electric-drive operation without sacrificing the flexibility required for quarrying, mining, demolition and recycling applications, while helping to reduce fuel consumption, lower maintenance requirements and support lower emissions compared with conventional diesel-hydraulic machines.

The result is a hybrid crushing solution that delivers operating flexibility, a lower cost of ownership and long-term value, while helping customers advance their sustainability goals.”
The J-1170 Elektro is built on one of Finlay’s established jaw crusher platforms and incorporates a direct electric-drive Terex single-toggle jaw chamber and a heavy-duty vibrating grizzly feeder. Finlay says its high-swing jaw design promotes efficient material entry into the crushing chamber to support consistent throughput. The machine features a double-door electrical panel designed for dusty environments and an integrated telematics system for real-time performance monitoring.
The C-1540 Elektro cone crusher pairs the Terex 1000 cone chamber with direct electric-drive technology and hydraulic closed side setting adjustment. At its centre is the Automax cone crusher, which uses a high-throw design to produce aggregates while, Finlay says, delivering strong throughput. The machine is equipped with automated metal detection and a cone level sensor to promote consistent choke feeding. Like the J-1170 Elektro, it features a double-door electrical panel for protection in dusty conditions and integrated telematics.
The J-1170 Elektro and C-1540 Elektro are available in India and will be introduced across selected international markets where Tier 3 emission standards apply, with additional Elektro models planned as the range evolves.
