Komatsu Europe has completed the third wave of its electric mini excavator introduction as it finalises the PC26E-6 to the European market.
According to the OEM, the mini excavator range was created to respond to pressure for low and zero-emission operations. These new vehicles remove barriers to electric adoption, including charging infrastructure and performance.
The electric mini excavator range comprises the PC20E, PC26E and PC33E, all built for emissions-sensitive environments that deliver diesel-equivalent performance without exhaust emissions and with reduced noise and vibration.
“As demand for electric compact machinery continues to rise, particularly in urban, indoor and environmentally sensitive environments, Komatsu is proud to unveil the third wave of its electric machines, says Emanuele Viel, group manager product marketing at Komatsu Europe. “Offering solutions that can be charged from a standard electricity supply without the need for heavy or complex infrastructure, the PC26E is designed for all environments, offering versatility rather than a niche solution.”
“Crucially, the third wave of machines have been engineered to offer fast charging times, smooth performance and a high-grade specification to ensure it fits seamlessly into existing operations.”
