Bonfiglioli develops electric mini-excavator drive

0

Bonfiglioli has developed a complete electric drive solution for mini-excavators that it is presenting at Bauma this year.

Designed for 2-3 ton machines, the company’s 701TE and 701CE electric slew and track drive provide a fully electric alternative to conventional axial piston hydraulic units, allowing for reductions in noise levels and no CO2 emissions from the vehicle.

The electric powertrain improves the machine efficiency and extends the maintenance interval to reduce total cost of ownership.

Additionally, the gear units benefit from Bonfiglioli’s 65 years of experience in the field of conventional hydraulic applications, and the electric motors have been specifically designed and developed to match the demanding requirements of the market in terms of energy efficiency, compact dimensions and high-power density.

Each motor has been designed to perfectly fit the space available for the slew and the track system minimizing the requirements and modifications to the frame and the entire system.

Its rugged and compact design is guaranteed thanks to the stator’s technology design, made with concentrated winding and IPM (Internal Permanent Magnet) technology.

The broad selection of drive solutions, combined with very high quality, advanced technology and a great deal of expertise, makes Bonfiglioli an ideal partner for all construction equipment manufacturers. Bonfiglioli’s many years of experience certify its capability to design, develop and create robust tailor-made solutions, perfectly adapted to its customers’ requests and needs.
