MTA has launched three displays for off-highway OEMs, including Galileo, a 5in IPS unit with secure boot, and TFT versions of Spot and Quik
MTA develops advanced solutions across 5 strategic technology domains: Protect & Distribute, Connect, Power, Control and Display. These domains cover the core building blocks of modern electrical and electronic architectures, enabling OEMs to optimise energy distribution, power management, data connectivity, vehicle control and driver interaction.
As part of its display portfolio, MTA is introducing three new products: Galileo, the new 5in display and Spot Plus and Quik Ultra, the new TFT versions of the Spot and Quik families.
Galileo
With Galileo, the family expands into the compact display segment, introducing two important innovations.
The first is enhanced software customisation. MTA provides the BSP (Board Support Package) and the software development kit, allowing customers to develop their own applications on a fully customised Linux operating system, add custom layers for specific product functionalities, integrate new information and independently update the system.
The second innovation is the adoption of a TFT IPS (In-Plane Switching) display, a liquid crystal technology that improves contrast and viewing angles. IPS ensures high color accuracy, consistent brightness, image stability and visual consistency, features typically associated with professional monitors and high-end displays.
The displays are also anti-glare and anti-fingerprint, and support the gestures commonly used on screens of this size. In compliance with the latest cybersecurity regulations, Galileo integrates two important hardware/software security mechanisms: a secure execution environment and a secure boot chain, ensuring that only legitimate software is executed and that sensitive data is protected.
Spot Plus
The Spot Plus dashboard features a 3.5in colour TFT display and a 100mm dashboard cut-out diameter, a standard size in the construction equipment sector. It has been designed with the same pin-out as the LCD version, ensuring easy upgrades for existing customers.
It features two rubber buttons with software-programmable functions, five LED telltales with customisable colours and symbols, and a backup battery capable of powering the Real Time Clock (RTC) for up to 10 days at room temperature, maintaining date and time even when the main power supply is disconnected.
Quik Ultra
The semi-oval design characteristic of the Quik family is one of the most widely adopted geometries in the agricultural and off-highway sectors, thanks to its compactness, ergonomics and ease of reading.
To further expand the offering dedicated to this type of cluster, MTA now complements the existing Quik (2.2in segment LCD) and Quik Plus (2.7in dot matrix LCD) with the new Quik Ultra, featuring a 3.5in central TFT display, 21 telltales and two analogue gauges.
