Inter Control gets the TÜV nod of approval

Inter Control has announced that its latest safety controller has been certified for the agricultural industry by Germany’s trade inspectors.

Receiving the endorsement from the TÜV (Technical Inspection Association) means the Digsy Fusion S now meets EN 16590/ISO 25119 safety requirements in addition to already fulfilling those set out by the EN ISO 13849 standard.

Using the Codesys 3.5 SIL2 programming environment, the safety controller has up to 240 inputs and outputs and contains multiple communication interfaces. Two programs can be processed on one controller simultaneously, allowing for one to manage the safety functions, while the other processes additional functions such as operator comfort. It is designed so that safety functions are not affected by processing on the other program.

The system is appropriate for a variety of applications including driving assistance for autonomous and driverless vehicles, steer-by-wire systems for drawn machines, or avoidance of unintended movement.

Being certified by TÜV at the higher EN 16590/ISO 25119 standard means the Digsy Fusion S is appropriate for machines with a long product lifecycle.
