Haulotte’s articulating boom has been awarded the best new product title at Hire18. The HA26 RTJ Pro was launched last year and is the latest machine in the company’s line-up.

Receiving the award at the Hire and Rental Industry Association Hire18 show in Brisbane, last week, Keith Clarke, Haulotte Australia general manager, declared: “I’m so proud to accept the award on behalf of Haulotte for best new product. This award is testament to our commitment from our R&D teams to listen to our customers and search for new ways to innovate.”

The articulating boom crane features an onboard diagnostics system that details malfunction resolutions, machine settings, maintenance alerts, and is three times faster at fault finding than the previous model. A lighting system located at several points around the machine illuminates the controls, as well as the area around the boom, to ensure operator safety when carrying out maneuvers.

The machine also includes a stop/start engine to reduce runtime and noise by 20%; and emissions by 8%. At 15 metric tons, it is a light and compact machine capable of dual-load capacities of 230/350kg.
