From 7-10 October, Liebherr will be exhibiting at Pollutec 2025 in Lyon, showcasing a selection of machines which the OEM says reflects its commitment to more environmentally responsible construction practices.
Located at the entrance of Hall 3 Liebherr’s booth (Aisle E, Stand 108) will welcome visitors with innovations in earthmoving and material handling.
At its booth, Liebherr will showcase the LH 18 M Industry, its most compact material handling machine.
Powered by a 105kW (143hp) engine compliant with EU Stage V standards, this model features Liebherr’s proprietary SCRT technology, which combines an oxidation catalyst, particulate filter, and SCR system to ensure optimal emission reduction.
Built for durability, the LH 18 M Industry boasts a 2.55-metre-wide chassis that provides excellent stability, further reinforced by front and rear stabilizers.
Its high-performance hydraulic system, paired with a 5.20 metre straight boom and a 3.70 metre stick, delivers precise control for sorting and handling tasks.
To demonstrate its capabilities, the machine is equipped with a SG 20B sorting grapple, ideal for managing diverse material flows. Features such as a reversible fan and enhanced filtration system contribute to high machine availability while optimising energy consumption.
This year, Liebherr will also highlight two wheel loader models. On display at the booth will be the L 507 E, the first battery-electric wheel loader in Liebherr’s portfolio. This compact model combines the proven performance of Liebherr’s stereo loaders with an in-house developed electric drive system. Launched in October 2023 across several European markets, the L 507 E marks a milestone in the Group’s energy transition strategy.

In the outdoor section, Liebherr will also present the L 538, a mid-range wheel loader designed for demanding environments such as recycling centres. Its robust lift arm ensures powerful breakout and holding forces, while intelligent assistant systems enhance both safety and operational efficiency.
A centrepiece of the exhibition will be the LR 636 G8 crawler loader, representing the Generation 8 of Liebherr crawler loaders in the 21-tonne class. Powered by a 135kW / 184hp Liebherr diesel engine compliant with EU Stage V standards, the LR 636 G8 combines fuel efficiency with reduced emissions. Its hydrostatic travel drive ensures smooth power delivery and allows the machine to turn on the spot, making it exceptionally agile in confined recycling yards.

Also on display will be the Liebherr T 48-8s telescopic handler, designed for heavy-duty industrial and recycling tasks. With a maximum lift capacity of 4.8 tonnes and a reach height of 8 metres, the T 48-8s combines strength and precision for loading, stacking and transporting materials. Its continuously variable hydrostatic travel drive enables seamless transitions between forward and reverse movements, reducing wear and fuel consumption in stop-and-go operations that are common in recycling yards.
