Hitachi Construction Machinery is presenting its Landcros autonomous haulage solution (AHS) at ConExpo, demonstrating how mine sites can automate haul truck movements to support predictable, scalable haulage and production planning.
Developed to support open fleet integration regardless of brand, AHS enables Hitachi equipment to operate autonomously alongside machinery from other OEMs. The system is also designed to work around manned equipment such as light vehicles, allowing mine operations to introduce autonomy at their own pace.
AHS was created in partnership with Wenco, a fleet management system company and Hitachi Construction Machinery group company. The technology forms part of Hitachi Construction Machinery’s upcoming rebrand to Landcros, in which the ‘O’ stands for ‘Open’ — reflecting the company’s commitment to collaboration with startups and technology specialists — and the ‘S’ for ‘Solutions’.
“Landcros AHS was created with the belief that autonomy should serve production,” says Mike Whitelock, director of mining for Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas. “It gives mining operations a great, scalable tool that supports mixed fleets and increases safety by reducing human exposure to high-risk environments. We are excited to show Conexpo attendees how AHS can revolutionise their fleet management and production strategy.”
Visitors can see the system at booth F19012.
