SDF, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tractors, combine harvesters and harvesting machinery, has announced it is going into partnership with agricultural software systems provider Topcon and continuing its profitable relationship with parts manufacturer Kramp.

The announcements come following the news that SDF’s Deutz-Fahr 6215 RCShift tractor won the Best Design category in the Tractor of the Year Awards 2017, last month (November 2016) at EIMA 2016 in Bologna, Italy.

The 6215 RCshift is the range-topping model of the new 6 Series tractor family with a transaxle featuring a new fully automatic robotised transmission with 30 forward speeds and 15 reverse speeds. This system ensures extremely rapid, comfortable and, crucially, intelligent shifts, as the innovative electronic management system optimises performance in relation to operating conditions, responding and adapting to the requests of the user in real time.

Commenting on the new Topcon/SDF partnership, Topcon CES Fabio Isaia, says, “Topcon Agriculture’s products and services are aimed on enhancing efficiency, productivity and workflows to virtually every phase of farming operations, which pairs well with SDF — a respected supplier to customers worldwide with a wide-range of tractors and other agricultural machines.

“The anticipated agreement will facilitate active and continuous cooperation between our two organizations, and also in the planning and development of IoT (Internet of Things) solutions for the agriculture market. Topcon and SDF have long enjoyed an existing collaborative association, and this agreement extends and solidifies that relationship.”

Commenting on the extension of the strategic collaboration between SDF and Kramp until 2021 Eddie Perdok, CEO of Kramp Groep, says, “It gives me great pleasure that we have renewed the agreement with SDF. Previous years have proven that this cooperation is beneficial for both Kramp and SDF as well as for our customers. As Kramp, we want to be the essential partner for our customers and suppliers. The cooperation with SDF helps us in achieving this vision.”
