At Agritechnica, which will take place in Hanover, Germany, 9-15 November 2025, the International Women in Ag Magazine and the DLG (German Agricultural Society) will confer the international Women in Ag award for the fourth time.
The award recognises professional women who are active in the agricultural industry, including farming, agribusiness, education, technology and research. The deadline for applications is 31 July 2025.
“Women all over the world make great contributions to a sustainable agricultural and food system every day,” says Freya von Czettritz, CEO of DLG Holding. “With the Women in Ag Award, we are putting the spotlight on the achievements of female agricultural scientists, farmers and smart and innovative women from other areas of international agribusiness for the fourth time. Diversity and variety are indispensable pillars of our society and strong drivers of success for the global economy: For us as DLG, it is currently particularly important to reinforce this message of ’empowerment of diversity’. With this in mind, we look forward to many exciting candidates for the Women in Ag Award 2025.”
The Women in Ag award is presented in four categories: Agriculture, Agribusiness, Education and Technology & Research. For the past four years, the Women in Ag award has been presented alternately at EuroTier and Agritechnica.
Women who are active in the agricultural sector can apply or be nominated for an award before July 31. The award winners are selected by an international jury of representatives from agricultural practice, science, organizations and the media. The focus is on special achievements for the development of local, national and international agriculture. The jury selects the entries and winners according to overall presentation of professional work, innovative approaches to work, contribution to the improvement of agriculturally relevant topics for the future and positive impact on the agricultural community, locally or globally.
Applications must be submitted online and include a short video portrait of no more than two minutes. The winners will be honoured on November 12 at Agritechnica.
