TE Connectivity is helping to improve connectivity for off-highway vehicles working in harsh environments.

Sealed mini-fuse holders developed by the firm enable design engineers working on the vehicles to add accessible circuit protection ensuring reliable protection for the onboard software devices.

The rugged new IP67-rated, two-position product accepts standard Deutsch DT and Ampseal 16 connector mounting clips and is available in 90 and 180 options. The fuse holder comes in heavy-duty thermoplastic designed to withstand significant vibrations and mechanical shocks, and can accommodate two active and two spare fuses.

“Our sealed mini-fuse holder allows engineers to quickly and easily add circuit protection to a new application or existing design,” said Mark Brubaker, product manager for TE Connectivity. “This adds to our broad portfolio of rugged connectivity products that deliver reliable performance under harsh conditions where failure is not an option.”
