Terex Aerial Work Platform (AWP) has announced it is to introduce the latest member of its electric high-reach scissorlift family to the off-highway industry at Bauma 2019.

The new Genie GS-4655 slab scissor lift extends the firm’s range of clean-engine machines. With a maximum indoor working height of 16.02m (52ft) and outdoor of 10.70m (34ft 6in), the vehicle equipped with a fully sealed AC electric drive motor is suitable for a variety of applications.

The scissorlift has a horizontal reach of 1.22m (4ft) with a fully rolled-out deck extension, as well as 25% gradeability and 14° breakover angle to climb steep ramps – simplifying its transportation in the process.

With a 350kg (770 lb) lift capacity for up to three people, the vehicle has a chassis width of 1.40m (4ft 7in) and weighs 3,538kg (7,800 lb).

“Thanks to its heavy-duty, fully sealed front-wheel AC electric drive motors, the new Genie GS-4655 scissorlift is designed with sustainability, productivity and a low cost of ownership in mind,” said Zach Gilmor, Genie product manager at Terex AWP for Europe, Middle East, Africa.

“We engineered this model to deliver the height and emissions-free power to work indoors and out, even in harsh outdoor jobsite conditions.

“Maximizing productivity, this model’s regenerative braking system also offers the benefit of industry-leading battery runtime per charge. And replacing traditional hydraulic drive motors with its new AC system, this model relies on less hydraulic service points reducing service time and costs for a cleaner and greener usage.”
