Hyster expands range with a 2 metric ton stacker

Hyster is launching a new fuel-efficient, 2 metric ton pallet stacker. The S.20 model can stack and retrieve loads from racking up to a height of 4m and so is ideally suited to the storage rooms of supermarkets, DIY stores and small scale warehouses.

Weighing 1,151kg, the tough and compact pedestrian stacker is 2,428mm wide and 2,414mm long, powered by a 24V electric battery, and has a top speed of 6km/h. Side battery removal makes switching it quicker, which is beneficial for when there is a need to extend truck availability on multiple shifts.

The S.20 joins the seven other stackers Hyster released to the market last year and shares a high level of parts commonality with those smaller models, while the robust chassis design, sealed transmission and a service interval of 3,000 hours or three years for hydraulic oil and filter changes make it reliably durable with a low cost of operation.

Controlled changes in travel direction help to increase cycle time, particularly in areas with incoming or outgoing goods where pallets are transported to and from the receiving dock or from marshalling areas to storage. Order picking operations can also benefit from the forks that can be adjusted to the most preferred working height.
