Buhler Versatile has completed its acquisition of the operating business of German construction manufacturer, Atlas Group, strengthening the Canadian company’s position in the European market.
The deal covers all assets of the operating Atlas Group companies, including Atlas GmbH, Atlas Spare Parts GmbH, Atlas Group Services GmbH and Atlas Kompakt GmbH, together with the shares held in British company Atlas Cranes UK.
Buhler Versatile is part of the Asko Group, a family-owned industrial organisation with more than 2,500 employees and operations across Türkiye, Canada and the United States. The group has built an international presence in both agricultural and construction equipment.
“Atlas is a highly respected brand with more than a century of engineering excellence and a strong reputation among customers across Europe and beyond,” says Zafer Ozbalaban, president of Buhler Versatile. “This agreement represents an important milestone in our long-term growth strategy. We are excited about the opportunities this brings and we look forward to building on Atlas’s strong foundation while supporting its continued success as part of the Buhler Versatile and Asko family.”
Atlas, headquartered in Ganderkesee near Delmenhorst, Germany, entered restructuring proceedings under self-administration in February 2026. Business operations continued uninterrupted while a structured international investor process was conducted, with the Buhler Versatile deal securing the company’s long-term future.
