Husco has announced that its GenSteer steer-by-wire (SbW) platform has been selected as a finalist in the Equipment category at the ConExpo-Con/Agg 2026 Next Level Awards, ahead of the product’s official reveal at the show in Las Vegas this March.
The Next Level Awards recognise products that advance the industry through innovation, sustainability, performance and operator-focused design. GenSteer is designed for wheeled off-highway equipment across the construction, agriculture, mining and material handling sectors.
Husco says the platform is intended to give OEMs a scalable foundation for modern steering features without the complexity or costly redundancy that has historically slowed industry adoption of steer-by-wire technology. Full technical details are set to be revealed at the show.
“GenSteer is one of those rare innovations that immediately changes the conversation around SbW adoption in off-highway applications. Being named a Next Level Award finalist tells us the industry sees the significance, too. This isn’t an incremental improvement; it’s the beginning of a new era for digital control across all wheeled equipment,” says Ben Holter, product director, Husco.
