Volvo’s fully electric mining site

Volvo Construction Equipment and its customer Skanska have conducted a 10-week electric mining site research project with impressive results – including a 98% reduction in carbon emissions, a 70% reduction in energy cost and a 40% reduction in operator cost.

Uwe Muller, chief project manager – advanced engineering, Volvo Construction Equipment will present ‘Electric Site: The future of quarries is electric’ at the Electric & Hybrid Industrial Vehicle Technology Conference, which takes place during iVT Expo in Cologne, Germany from February 13, 2019.
