Danfoss Power Solutions has entered into an agreement to acquire Hydro Holding, a manufacturer of hose fittings headquartered in Castello d’Argile, Italy.
Hydro Holding will become part of Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division, a global manufacturer of hoses and fittings with brands such as Aeroquip, Weatherhead, Hansen and Waltech.
The acquisition supports the division’s focus to accelerate profitable growth in line with Danfoss’ LEAP 2030 strategy.
“Bringing Hydro Holding into the Danfoss Fluid Conveyance business is a perfect fit for both organisations. We will create a hose and fitting powerhouse in Europe, and together, we will be able to realize synergies, expand market share, and meet the needs of our customers with innovative solutions and a broader product range,” says Daniel Winter, president, Danfoss Power Solutions.
“Joining Danfoss Power Solutions marks an important milestone for Hydro Holding and for our entire team. We share the same values of customer focus, quality, and innovation, and I am confident that together we will strengthen our presence in the European market. Our fittings portfolio perfectly complements Danfoss’ hoses offering, creating strong commercial and manufacturing synergies that will enable us to deliver even greater value to our customers,“ adds Stefano Bordegnoni, CEO, Hydro Holding.
Hydro Holding offers a range of products including carbon and stainless steel fittings and adapters, hose assemblies and formed steel tubing. Its products are used in the material handling, oil and gas, agriculture, marine, construction, mining and chemical sectors. T
he company has a strong presence in Europe with four locations in Italy, one in the Czech Republic, and a sales office in the UK. Its annual turnover is EUR 60 million with a team of 350 employees.
Hydro Holding is the result of a buildup strategy that started in 2015 with the acquisition of two independent Italian hose fittings producers, Tieffe and FB Hydraulic, and continued in 2017 with the integration of Raccorfer, a cold forming steel producer, and MCS Hydraulics, a manufacturer of stainless steel fittings.
Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division manufactures hoses and fittings for a variety of equipment and applications, including vehicles, aircraft, mining, food and beverage, and mobile and industrial equipment. Product ranges include hydraulic hose and fittings, engine and air conditioning hose and fittings, industrial hose and fittings, thermoplastic hose and fittings, connectors and quick-disconnect couplings, and hose machines, tools, and accessories. Hydro Holding will become a business unit within our Fluid Conveyance division, playing a key role in boosting our growth in Europe. Our first priority is to keep running the successful business that Hydro Holding is today — continuing to serve both Hydro Holding and Danfoss customers with the highest quality and reliability.
