Kubota’s European Engine Business Unit, based in Rodgau, Germany, will make its debut appearance at Interforst 2026, showing a range of power solutions for the forestry and off-highway sectors at the Trade Fair Center Messe München, Germany, from 15-18 October.
Located within the new DLG Systems & Components area, in Hall B6, Stand 239, Kubota will showcase engine technologies developed from more than 100 years of experience in engine development and manufacturing.
Interforst is one of the leading international exhibitions for forestry and forest technology, giving Kubota the opportunity to introduce its engine technologies to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and professional operators from across the sector.
Engines already at work in forestry equipment
Kubota engines are already found in a range of forestry and specialised equipment worldwide, including skid steer loaders, woodchippers and light forwarders, applications where compact dimensions, high efficiency and dependable performance are typically required. The company says it continuously works with OEM partners to develop engine solutions that meet the requirements of modern forestry and off-highway applications.

V5009 leads the line-up on display
The Kubota 09 Series V5009 will headline the stand as the company’s first diesel engine to deliver more than 200hp, developed to meet the higher power requirements of industrial machinery. The V5009 delivers up to 157.3kW (210.9hp) at 2,200rpm while complying with EPA/CARB Tier 4 and EU Stage V emissions standards. High fuel efficiency is achieved through Kubota’s optimised combustion system within a compact four-cylinder design, intended to reduce fuel consumption and total cost of ownership. The engine also offers high power density for applications where installation space is limited, and its oil and fuel filters, along with the oil gauge, are positioned on the same side of the engine for easier servicing. To meet emissions regulations, the engine is equipped with a diesel oxidation catalyst, diesel particulate filter and selective catalytic reduction, and like all Kubota diesel engines, the 09 Series is compatible with HVO fuel.
Also on display will be the D902-K, Kubota’s first electronically controlled diesel engine below 19kW, featuring the company’s common rail system developed exclusively for small engines, TVCR. The three-cylinder, vertical, water-cooled, four-cycle diesel engine is designed for smokeless operation and low fuel consumption, and meets EPA Tier 4 and EU Stage V standards while being approved for HVO fuel use. Because the engine is electronically controlled, it can communicate via Controller Area Network, allowing engine operating data to be acquired for remote performance monitoring. The common rail D902-K has a displacement of 0.898 litres, with output of 18.5kW at 3,600rpm, 16.5kW at 3,200rpm and 13.4kW at 2,600rpm, and a dry weight of 72kg.
Completing the display is the V1505-CR-T, a compact four-cylinder diesel engine designed for modern industrial equipment. It delivers 33kW while complying with EPA Tier 4 and EU Stage V emissions standards, and its diesel particulate filter technology features automatic regeneration at low engine speeds, intended to reduce downtime and increase productivity. Long maintenance intervals, compact dimensions and flexible installation options are designed to make it suitable for a wide range of industrial and off-highway applications.
