Mitas has developed a powerful new tire for use in intensive specialized agricultural operations.

The 1000/50 R 25 SFT, for use in high-horsepower harvesting, will be unveiled at SIMA 2017 in Paris, France, on February 26-March 2.

The new tire features advantages of the Super Flexion Tyre range it is a part of, such as variable inflation pressures.

Pavel Kott, product manager for Mitas Agricultural Tyres, said, “The SFT tyre range is a backbone of the Mitas product offering for powerful agricultural machinery.

“By releasing the new 1000/50 R 25 SFT worldwide we are further extending the range of our Super Flexion Tyres portfolio, which constitutes the top products of their type on the market.”

Designed to address the specific needs of farmers, the new tyre is flexible, with ultra-strong sidewalls that allow low inflation pressures for high load-carrying capacities, gentle ground handling and higher yields.

The new Mitas 1000/50 R 25 172 A8 (166 D) SFT has a D speed rating, enabling speeds up to 65km/h. It can carry loads of 10,080kg under 2.4 bar and 10km/h (cyclic). It has a diameter of 1.65m.
