Italian driveline specialist, Carraro Group has used Agritechnica 2025 to announce two OEM partnerships, demonstrating the company’s expanding role in both conventional and electric off-highway vehicle drivetrains.
Carraro revealed a renewed supply agreement with Wacker Neuson Group extending through 2029, alongside a new strategic partnership with French electric tractor startup Seederal.
The extended Wacker Neuson agreement confirms Carraro as a key supplier of complete driveline systems for the German manufacturer’s Kramer and Weidemann telehandler ranges, as well as Wacker Neuson wheel loaders. The partnership renewal follows years of collaboration between the two companies.

“The strength of our partnership with the Wacker Neuson Group is built on a shared vision and mutual trust developed over time,” says Andrea Conchetto, Carraro Group CEO. “Together, we continue to push the boundaries of agricultural and construction equipment mobility with solutions that deliver performance, efficiency, and sustainability.”
The Seederal collaboration represents Carraro’s entry into agricultural electrification, combining the supplier’s mechanical engineering capabilities with the French startup’s electric vehicle platform. At the heart of the partnership is development of a complete driveline featuring Carraro’s latest generation transmission technology, covering both electrical and hydraulic applications through standardised products.

Carraro has also engineered a new Independent Front Unit (IFU) axle specifically for Seederal’s upcoming electric tractor platform. According to Carraro, the IFU, showcased at its Agritechnica booth, features independent suspension designed to provide dynamic stability, terrain adaptability through independent wheel movement, and improved operator comfort via reduced vibration.
“This project highlights our capability to design advanced mechanical systems alongside innovative OEMs,” says Conchetto. “Supporting Seederal with a high-performance, customised axle underlines our commitment to enabling the electrification of agriculture with best-in-class driveline solutions.”
“Designing a full electric tractor requires rethinking every component, from the driveline to energy management. Together we are laying the foundation for a new generation of agricultural machines designed for real work, not lab demonstrations,” adds Arthur Rivoal, founder and executive chairman of Seederal.
Seederal’s electric tractor project has secured €7.1 million in venture capital funding from firms including Supernova Invest and Ankaa Ventures, plus €3.7 million from France’s France 2030 initiative. The startup aims to deliver a 160hp tractor featuring an innovative chassis-battery system.
