Antonio Carraro Tractors has reported positive financial figures for 2016, with a net profit of €2m (US$2.1m). The company has continued to see an upturn in the months of this year as well, seeing orders up approximately 30% on the equivalent period 12 months ago.

Antonio Carraro Tractors managing director Marcello Carraro explained that the strong performance will help the company to further innovate with regard to vehicle development in the future for the specialized agriculture and civil maintenance industries.

Carraro said, “With these figures, we have one of the best economic outcomes of the sector, which is down to our compact, made-to-measure tractors with 40 basic models available in 80 different versions. Thanks to their uniqueness and their technical characteristics, they have no rivals in the market: a production of ‘made to measure’ tractors with 40 basic models available in 80 different versions.

“I am delighted with the results and the subsequent strengthening of the financial situation after the increase in capital at the end of 2016, thanks to the entrance of the Gruppo Melleuno Imoco, which will allow our five-year strategic plan to be undertaken safely and securely.

“Right from the start of 2017 there is the plan to begin an investment program, regarding, on the one hand, the strengthening of production, both in terms of human resources and machine technology, while at the same time reinforcing the commercial structure and internal control system, including branch management in Turkey, Spain, France and Oceania.”
