Agritechnica 2017 has received more than 300 innovation submissions for its Innovation Awards. Organizers of the agricultural technology show have been overwhelmed by the number of entries, which will be judged on November 13.

The applications have looked at improving nearly all areas of the agriculture industry but tractors, mobile loading equipment, transport technology, process optimization software, mowing technology and crop protection have been categories that have been the most popular.

A total of 175 exhibitors from 24 countries have registered new products for the first time at this year’s fair. Their entries will be judged for the Agritechnica’s 2017 Gold and Silver Innovation Awards by an independent panel that includes international experts appointed by DLG (the German agricultural society), which will assess the registered innovations and reward those considered to be pioneering developments.

Concepts that introduce a new process or substantially improve a known process will be eligible for a Gold Medal for innovation, while Silver Medals are awarded for product developments that result in a substantial improvement of a function or process.
