Liebherr has announced it is to present its views on jobsites of the future at a major conference next month.

The company will be presenting at the Deep Foundation Institute (DFI) European Federation of Foundation Contractors (EFFC) event ‘International Conference on Deep Foundations and Ground Improvement: Urbanization and Infrastructure Development-Future Challenges’, which takes place at Sapienza University in Rome, Italy, on June 5-8.

Liebherr-Werk Nenzing’s product manager Arno Halbeisen will present a paper titled Deep foundation jobsites of the future: digitization and networking as major strategic factors for information management systems.

The conference is expected to explore the challenges of upcoming urban infrastructure megaprojects and will highlight modern technologies and techniques available to overcome them. Representatives from organizations involved in a variety of major infrastructure projects – including the Rome Metro C, Fehmarn Belt, Grand Paris and Chennai Metro projects – will be making contributions.

Halbeisen said, “Digitization and networking on the construction site represent significant strategic factors for implementation and operation of information management systems. To illustrate this, I intend to define digital and networking solutions, information management systems, as well as major challenges concerning IT solutions on construction sites of the future.”
