The Wirtgen Group chose Intermat as the location for the first public appearance of its latest compact milling machine.

The W 150 CFi has 1,800mm milling drum assembly which increases productivity and output for operators working in a wide range of applications.

Powered by a 298kW (399hp) engine, the machine made its world premiere at the construction machine trade fair Intermat in Paris, France, last week (April 23-28).

A Wirtgen spokesperson said, “The compact milling machine packs a punch with its immense engine power paired with the application-optimized machine transport weight.

“To perform milling operations as economically as possible, cold milling machines must be transported quickly from one site to the next.

“The 1,800mm milling drum assembly gives the customers the benefit of a wider range of applications while the cold milling machine hits the mark with increased productivity and area output.”

The company also had on its stand at the show its WR 2240i wheeled recycler, the WLV 1 laboratory compactor, and the WLB 10 S laboratory-scale foamed bitumen plant, among other vehicles and technologies.
