Webtec launches custom hydraulic valve service

0

Webtec has introduced a custom hydraulic solutions service bringing greater design freedom and improved performance for OEMs.

Typically, many OEMs rely on a standard issue hydraulic valve which requires them to design their systems accordingly; most hydraulic valve manufacturers, for example, will seek volumes of around 5,000 to 10,000 a year to design a new valve. But this new service from Webtec can cater for low volume production (between 100 and 5,000 pieces a year) depending on cost and complexity of the design.

It means that design engineers at OEMs now have access to a wide variety of bespoke solutions, bringing greater freedom to the design process, as well as increased compatibility and performance.

The service also can aid manufacturers looking to reduce energy consumption and prevent overheating as design of the high-efficiency flow control valves is based on meeting customer requirements.

“Any OEM producing mobile machinery for industries such as construction, mining, agriculture or energy will be familiar with the limitation of having to design hydraulic solutions around standard parts,” said a Webtec spokesperson.

“As a result, many OEMs make do with standard issue, and have to design their systems accordingly. But it doesn’t have to be that way anymore. In essence, Webtec’s custom hydraulic solutions are designed in line with specific specifications, ensuring customer machines have that all-important edge over the competition. OEMs don’t have to settle for ‘standard’ any longer.”
