UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) has introduced a new GCT ZD30 Tier 4 diesel engine, which is now available in its G04 series 8,000- to 11,000 lb capacity, pneumatic-tire lift trucks.

The new 3.0-liter, turbo ZD30 diesel engine, designed by UniCarriers’ wholly owned subsidiary, Global Component Technologies (GCT), delivers approximately 10% increased fuel efficiency compared with the prior engine design, and reduces emissions below Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) tier 4 standards.

Standard features to be found on the GO4 Series and its new ZD30 engine include: electronic engine control; common-rail fuel injection; cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR); a diesel oxidation catalyst; a diesel particulate filter; a new meter panel; a high/low maximum speed selector; a power/economy acceleration mode selector; and an engine and transmission protection system.

“UniCarriers is excited to introduce this new diesel engine within this model lineup,” said Mark Porwit, director, marketing and product management, UniCarriers Americas.

“The G04 series of lift trucks will be delivering even more value with this new engine which will improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.”

The engine delivers dependable cold-weather starts as well as enhanced reliability, and the G04 truck design offers ruggedness due to an oversized, heavy-duty differential and drivetrain, as well as thick mast rails.
