Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas, which is to be rebranded as Landcros Americas in April 2027, has expanded its wheeled excavator range with the ZX180W-7 and ZX220W-7 aimed at infrastructure, utility and road work.
The ZX180W-7 has a road travel speed of up to 21.7mph and the ZX220W-7 up to 17.1mph, with a hydraulic system compatible with a range of attachments.

Through the in-cab monitor, operators can customise machine settings to match the application, including swing speed, arm responsiveness, attachment performance and priority during simultaneous operations. The ZX180W-7 has a two-piece boom for working in confined sites, and is equipped with a front blade and rear outriggers, while the ZX220W-7 has front and rear outriggers for stability. Automatic Transmission Control selects the optimal gear based on travel load.
A newly designed cab has a seat-mounted console that moves with the seat, along with ergonomically arranged controls. Auto Working Brake (AWB), Cruise Control and Public Road Mode are also included.
The Aerial Angle system provides a 270-degree bird’s-eye view of the machine’s surroundings, and LED work lights improve visibility.
ConSite Oil remotely monitors engine and hydraulic oil condition, and Hitachi’s remote monitoring services provide insight into machine health to support proactive maintenance. A dual element air cleaner and a sealed cabin filter help reduce maintenance requirements
