Bonfiglioli drive unit to aid construction industry

Bonfiglioli has developed an advanced drive unit suitable for construction equipment machines.

The 705XT track drive comes with an integrated axial piston motor appropriate for compact track loaders or small dozers weighing up to 7.5 tons or pavers up to 15 tons.

The two-stage gearbox has a fully integrated swashplate hydraulic motor and parking brake to provide efficiency within compact dimensions.

A Bonfiglioli spokesperson said, “The integration of all the components in an optimized way gives the machine builder the opportunity to take advantage of a simplified installation, reduced overall dimensions and a cost-effective solution.

“The system is an intermediate solution developed to offer a cost-effective solution to our customers, more suitable to their machines requirements.”

The drive unit, which provides an output torque of up to 17,000Nm, integrates the axial piston motor (designed for a continuous pressure of 450 bar, a maximum oil flow of 160 l/min and with a zero-displacement capability), which can go beyond the typical 2:1 displacement ratio.

Additional features of the 705XT drive units are the two-position hydraulic displacement control or, alternatively, an electrical proportional continuously variable displacement control and a built-in speed sensor.
