Hitachi’s first semi-autonomous excavator

Hitachi Construction Equipment is entering the world of machine control, with its first ever excavator with semi-autonomous digging functions – the ZX201X-6. Hitachi is following in the footsteps of a handful of other leading OEMs who have vehicles to market with machine control, but its system is unique in that all sensors and hydraulics in the system are OEM-made. This video explains how the system works and why it is important for modern construction projects.
