During its recent annual convention of 140 key suppliers, Manitou Group recognised its top performing partners by giving out awards in eight categories. John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) were among those chosen for recognition and picked up the prize for best engineering performance.

The award recognises the technical competency of the project team responsible for integrating the Stage IV/Tier 4 engine into Manitou’s MLT 840 and MLT 1040 telescopic handlers, equipped with PowerTech 4.5L engines which are available as 86 or 102kW (115 or 137hp) versions. John Deere’s ability to listen and understand customer needs, a smooth project development and a relationship built on transparency and trust were among the reasons cited by Manitou Group for recognizing JDPS.

“We consider our ability to help customers integrate our engine as a key element that differentiates us from our competitors,” said Celine Chapuis, applications engineer and project manager, JDPS. “Our priority is to make sure our customers’ projects are executed flawlessly and we are always looking to stand out due to the skill and hard work that our teams invest into these projects. We are especially proud of this award from such a prestigious customer as it is a testimony of the fruits of that philosophy.”
