Valtra has partnered with Danish agtech company PerPlant to offer PerPlant’s AI crop sensor factory-fitted on new tractors through its Valtra Unlimited programme. The sensor will be available on the A105 and A115, G, N, T, Q and S Series, across selected European markets and in other markets on request. Sales start in October 2026, alongside the launch of the sixth-generation Valtra T Series.
Through Valtra Unlimited, tractors are built and specified before they leave the factory, and the PerPlant Sensor adds AI-powered plant recognition to that process, so the machine arrives ready for precision farming with no additional hardware to source or set up.
The PerPlant Sensor is a single AI unit with two cameras mounted on the tractor roof. As the tractor works, it scans the crop and converts the data into maps and real-time application. It supports spot spraying, targeting weeds green-on-green (such as docks in grass), green-on-brown and green-on-yellow; variable-rate application of fertiliser, fungicide and growth regulator, day or night; and mapping and documentation, tracking biomass, weeds and risk zones across the season and uploading data to farm management systems. Because it scans automatically whenever the tractor is working, it can provide centimetre-level insight without extra passes.
“Our customers increasingly expect smart solutions that help them farm more precisely and more profitably. PerPlant’s technology fits naturally into the Valtra Unlimited offering, and this partnership gives farmers across Europe access to precision application directly with their new Valtra. We see strong potential in the solution and look forward to growing the partnership with PerPlant across our key European markets,” says Tomi Siljander, manager, product engineering Unlimited, Valtra.

The sensor works with ISOBUS sprayers, spreaders and seeders and integrates with the tractor’s existing ISOBUS system. Valtra says it complements the company’s existing precision-farming offering and can be used alongside other technologies in its wider ecosystem, including solutions from PTx.
According to PerPlant, farmers using the system have achieved input savings of 40–87%, depending on the implement, at an average operating cost of around €4/ha on a 200ha farm.
“Most farmers want precision farming, but not the cost and complexity that usually comes with it. Working with Valtra means a farmer can now get AI that sees every plant straight from the factory, configured through Valtra Unlimited. We are proud that a brand farmers trust as much as Valtra has chosen PerPlant,” says Rasmus Emil Hansen, CEO and co-founder of PerPlant.
