Strautmann has expanded its Primus range of self-propelled feed mixers with the Primus 900, which will be shown in public for the first time at EuroTier 2026.
The series comprises three models with capacities from 22 to 30m³ and sits above the existing Primus 600 generation, aimed at large-scale operations and inter-farm use. It is powered by a six-cylinder FPT engine delivering 280PS and, like the rest of the Primus range, uses the Smart Feed Cab and Feed Control system.
A three-axle chassis with six-wheel steering is standard, with crab steering available as an option, while a hydraulic chassis and a pendulum axle mount on the front axle adapt the machine to varying ground conditions. A newly designed cutter handles forage stalks up to 5.70m high and 2.40m wide.
“With our new flagship model, we are filling a gap in our range of self-propelled feed mixers. Our customers, particularly large farms and those using the machines across multiple farms, need machines that combine high performance, efficiency and ease of operation. The Primus 900 meets precisely these requirements and, with its powerful cutter, six-wheel steering and hydraulic chassis, offers a complete package that is consistently designed for maximum productivity,” says Andreas Haggeney, product manager and sales director at Strautmann.
A pre-series Primus 900 will reach the market in 2027, with the official series launch scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.
