New Holland has expanded its Workmaster compact tractor series in North America with three models for 2027, the Workmaster 45C, 50C and 55C. The manufacturer says the additions are designed around greater performance, improved comfort and ergonomics, upgraded loader and backhoe options and connectivity-ready capability, and mark its further growth into the compact utility segment.
The 45C, 50C and 55C offer 47, 52 and 57 engine horsepower respectively, developed to support tasks ranging from material handling and loader work to rotary cutting, finish mowing, livestock feeding, property maintenance and light construction. Turbocharged three-cylinder, 1.9-litre engines provide up to 49 PTO horsepower, and the tractors have a 2,320-pound rear hitch lift capacity at 24 inches behind the ball ends. Buyers can choose between a 12×12 synchronised gear transmission or a three-speed servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission (S-HST), with an electric cruise control kit available on the HST models.
“Compact tractor customers are asking more from a single machine than ever before,” says Cory Hunt, compact tractor product specialist for New Holland North America. “The Workmaster 45C, 50C and 55C were designed for customers who need more power, more lift capacity and more versatility without stepping into a traditional utility tractor. We call this range of Workermaster’s ‘compact utility’ because they give owners the power and confidence to take on bigger jobs, while not losing sight of the size or simplicity of the tractors.”
The C Series introduces a redesigned operator station with a wide platform, improved grab rails, suspended pedals, an enhanced instrument cluster and a revised seating position, with an optional rubber floor mat. New Holland says the optional servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission reduces pedal effort compared with traditional mechanical hydrostatic systems, helping comfort during repetitive forward-and-reverse loader work.
The tractors are matched to the new LC Series loaders, developed alongside them as an integrated tractor-loader solution with simultaneous lift-and-curl functionality. The 270LC loader has a maximum lift height of 110 inches and a lift capacity of 1,697 pounds at 500mm forward of the pivot pin. Each tractor uses two hydraulic pumps to maintain flow to attachments and uninterrupted power steering regardless of hydraulic load, and features a stackable rear remote valve slice design, with a live third-function option kit for grapples, 4-in-1 buckets and other hydraulic attachments.
All C Series tractors are telematics-ready from the factory. Customers can add the CM100 modem and connect to New Holland’s FieldOps platform for machine tracking, geofencing, machine alerts, preventative maintenance notifications and operating history.
