Sany reduces costs for customers

Sany’s latest reachstacker has been developed to cut costs for customers. Introduced for the European market, the H9 is reportedly designed to save 15% of machine-related costs per container handled.

Available in three iterations, the machine has a load capacity of 15, 31 or 45 tons and includes an energy recovery system of nitrogen-accumulators that supports boom lifting and means boom cycling is increased with less engine power required to do so.

Vehicle weight was minimized by introducing a new type of top-lift spreader that saved 1 ton and allowed slimming of the counter ballast on the rear of the machine.

The total service weight of the vehicle was 3 tons lighter after all the weight saving measures were applied and allows for faster acceleration and better fuel efficiency.

The new reachstacker will be on display at the TOC Europe event, taking place on June 12-14 in Ahoy Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Alongside the H9, Sany will also present its range of heavy-duty forklift vehicles, including a 25-ton, 4.3-m wheelbase model, in addition to 30-ton and 32-ton versions with a 4.5m wheelbase.

A Sany spokesperson said, “Since 2006, we have produced 4,000 reachstackers, making us the largest manufacturer of reachstackers in the last 12 years globally.

“With this experience, in-house development and production of steel works (chassis, boom, mast) and an own spreader production, we have gained valuable information that has made it possible to offer the extended warranty.”
