The TD 07 hydraulic dumper is a one of its kind vehicle that traverses any type of terrain with the use of somersaulting rubber pads with metal housings which have a hydraulic drive within.
The outer pads are made of carbon nano fiber (CNF) infused rubber, making it very resistant to wear and tear.
The movement of the rubber pads is not powered by a traditional diesel combustion engine but entirely through the use of hydraulics.
This mechanism has four independent rubber mounting pads surrounding an inside metal casing. The metal housing contains a cylindrical unit with 2 valves that are attached either side.
When this unit receives hydraulic fluid that is injected at high speed, it fills up one section of the housing and blocks entry to the other section with the help of the closed valve.
Once liquid fills up in one section, it forces the cylinder with grooved edges, to go forward, enabling the entire upper section of the vehicle to move forward.
Once the grooved cylinder reaches the end of the housing, it locks into a concave geared surface enabling the entire rubber metal cased unit to flip forward from its pivot point, with the help of a local traction motor.
The hydraulic liquid is pumped back to its chamber and the cycle keeps repeating.
